Hi, I’m Talia.
I film weddings, elopements and a handful of events and small businesses each year, mostly in the Hudson Valley and anywhere couples ask me.
I started out cutting documentaries, and I still film that way: I watch more than I direct, I stay close without getting in the way, and I let the day run at its own pace. The films that come out of it feel like the day did, not like a trailer of it.

Two cameras
One wide on the whole scene and one close on hands and faces, so nothing important happens off camera.
Sound
Small wireless mics on the vows and the toasts, plus a recorder by the speakers.
Light and quiet
Fast lenses and natural light first. A small light for the dance floor, never a bright one in faces.
A drone, sometimes
Only where the venue allows it, for a few minutes at golden hour.
